MRP Policy

Every organization has its own unique way of functioning. Through this option, users can instruct IMMS to behave in a particular manner to suit the functioning of the organization. In technical jargon this process is known as setting the flags. Hence, setting the flag as YES or NO to certain options, determines the behaviour of IMMS.

It is very important for the user to know the implications of setting the flag in a particular position. Administrator/User, after taking inputs from all the concerned, needs to take an informed decision before setting the flag in a particular position. Positions of some flags cannot be changed during the year.

Through this option, user can define parameters which influence many important matters related to the Planning department. They affect many entries and reports of the Planning Module.

Click on the button to enter/change the values of the flags.

Before generating the new Indent, Autoshop provides the facility to check for existing on-hand stock available for the Item in other Site(s) of the Company.

If this flag is set as 'On', than after Allocation, Autoshop will first consider open pipeline quantities of Item (only 'BY' and 'RS' type of Items) having NO SJO/OAF reference. If shortage still exists for an Item, then before generating new Indent for that Item, AutoShop will check whether any free on-hand quantity is available for the Item in other Site(s) of the company? If the quantity is available, AutoShop will consider such quantity as usable in MRP and will automatically generate Inter Site Warehouse Transfer Note for such Items(only 'BY' and 'RS' type of Items). Inter Site Warehouse Transfer Notes generated by AutoShop are un-authorized. Therefore, the user needs to authorize them first to make the stock transfer come into effect.
